Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

While picking up cheapo lunch at Spring street I ran into Squid gave me a cool VELOCITY card. Then on the East 5th Felippe spotted me said “I have something better than the card” gave me VELOCITY poster. Impressed with the Team Puma generosities I headed to Kim’s Video. They didn’t allow poster unless it’s music related but on the 3rd video-rental floor a clerk I knew let me put the poster right on their counter.

See you guys this weekend!

That sounds pretty normal. I run 47x16 which is on the lower end of what people race with.

whoa, are we really doing grilling? Is there meat anywhere? I haven't put any thought into this at all, but if I've backed myself into this corner, I'll totally do it. meat only though.

I'll give a hand. I can do some grocery runs when I get there cause I don't plan on racing.

I love to grill.

edit: the associated near my girl's place has 20 frozen (meat) burgers for 10 bucks.

I am wondering if that is the same Dave Bonilla I used to work with at Kozmo.com. I may need to head out there just to find out.

What time are you guys grilling? My bike won't be track ready by this weekend so I think I'll just drive and bring the family. Is there anything I can bring for the grilling?

will do. i also got a ton of veggies at the farmer's market just now (my treat). all organic stuff--onions, multi colored sweet bell peppers, heirloom tomatoes, hot peppers, zucchini. seemed like good stuff for burgers or just for grillin. anybody gonna remember to bring knives, rolls, cups, plates, etc?

eff... I really want to go but I need the money and making the trip isn't worth it if I'm not going to be racing.
