chain skipping!

My chain is skipping on my singlespeed conversion. It is a hardtail mountain bike done with a bmx cog, spacers, and a tensioner. My gearing is 32/16 with a 3 speed crank and i have a 9 speed chain on it. When I stand and pedal, it skips, I cant tell where. I only weigh 170 lbs.

get a wide bmx chain, assuming your chainline is acceptable

i second this. BMX chain and check your chain line

I went and got the singlespeed chain, and I also measured and changed my chainline it is now less than a mm off(.73), it will skip but not as much as before, ill probabaly take it to the lbs tomorrow.

Your chainring, rear sprocket and chain need to be replaced.
