Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hipsters going places

This thing has no gears, but mostly I'm spreading this here from the General forum because of it's name, and cause I want to see what people here think of it....the comments on the website are fabulous too

Amazing. I saw some dude pushing a cart (the handle was in front of him and the main body behind him) a ways north of SF on 1 when I drove down last month. I think this is a better design although I'm not sure.

But yeah, dorky as ****. But who cares anyways.

I guess it's sort of a fixed gear, kind of.

Sam, I'd buy one if UTW made custom bags. As dorky as it looked it may have some function if you were pulling something a little heavier than a back pack bag (oh, yeah, rickshaws...)

I think people should save their bile for such life enhancing contraptions as the douchaise, also available from the same website. https://www.elseware.to/products/douchaise.htm . (I may buy a muff pack for those lonely nights though).

i love the snarky-ass comments about the inventor being some kind of dork (among other mean things) when they're the ones reading RealTechNews or whatever it is and commenting on it.

i feel ambivalent about it. i think it would be a peculiar thing to buy (I'd go with a backpack) and it would make your midsection sweat like a motherfu_ker.

I'm hungry.
