Plenty of folks race cross with disc brakes in MN. I don't know what happens if they win, I think they just don't qualify for UCI points. That won't stop me... I can't get this bike out of my head. Anyone have any idea when this bike will be available in the US?

I think VeloNews had this to say about singlespeed CX, but I quote from memory:
"The new Bianchi is half as efficent, but a thousand times more painful than the average CX bike." |
i only wish it had sliding dropouts.

Judging from the frame, that appears to be the same frame as used for the Axis cross bike. Bianchi probably had surplus Axis frames and were looking for a way to liquidate their inventory of those frames. They did this with their Reparto Corse SL3 road bike frames by using them for '05 and '06 Giros and San Mateos. I got a screaming deal on a '05 Giro. Ergo, this might mean NOS '05 and '06 Axis bikes could be had for cheap. Hopefully.
(edit) Furthermore, their '07 Axis has celeste trim, a telltale sign that Bianchi wants to move their inventory of that particular frameset. (edit 2) Considering the Axis can be had for a couple hundred more with a vastly more versatile setup, I think the Roger is too expensive. |
if i had the money i would switch the fork w/ some fox suspension and change the bars and so on but im very fond of that frame
