thank for your input. Do you make track bikes yet?

That link is fun too. Lots of nice pRon.

I find your elitism an extreme rarity. No one acts better than anyone else these days.

Make track bikes?!?! Why, just last year we built one of the esteemed Mr. William Karstens, ne้ of this forum. Nine hundredish of your United States dollars gets you one, including delivery via Express of the Federation.

However, I would first consider the bikes known only as.......'Pie'. Those Nipponese gentlemen are WACKY!

i don't get this 'exclusivity' thing. or maybe i do. there's a waiting game involved in finding an attractive frame in a given size from the handful of people and shops who import them, or lucking out on ebay or craigslist. the larger the size, the more uncommon and expensive it'll be. the ones that do turn up tend to be really attractive lugged or filet brazed frames, made by seasoned framebuilders. and the interest? the used frames that i've seen tend to fall around $500-$700, complete a really nice bb and headset. there's not a wealth of non keirin lugged steel frames popping up. as much as people may hate the njs stamp, it at least says that the frame tested to have a certain durability and strength. they seem to be a perfectly reasonable choice for recreational track racers who like quick handling on the street. outside of internet fixed gear forums, pretty much nobody gives a rat's ass about keirin or njs, and nobody's forcing you to be here.

Man, why are 90% of bike-related Japanese websites straight out of Geocities circe 1995?

killsurfcity 09-23-06 09:28 PM

^ for real! i'd pay the extra couple hundred on ebay not to have to look at that ****.

These go vertical. Vertical makes you look skinny. Horizontal makes you look fat. However, if you are fat it makes no difference. I learned that from Project Runway.

Anyway, back to the original premise of the post. I'll just ignore sers coz he makes as much sense as tits on a bull, but man, I thought that link I found was HOT.

You Fixheads are always on about Nasagawa this, Keiren that, Nitto is the awesomest evar etc., and I just found the motherlode of all link sites to Jap framebuilders nobody has heard of. All hail me, for I am your linkage god.

As to why all the sites look like they were scripted by 10 year olds? That's anyones' guess. It's all part of the charm.
