same, but ****loads better. You can' get them over here. You have to buy it in Europe and get it shipped.

Notice, the frames alum. but it doesn't look like there are steel track end covers.

ultraman6970 09-23-06 02:17 PM

wow big difference... wonder if its true that bianchi US produce some stuff here in the states, if thats the case I would say... yes, is better go to europe and get that pista alu in there. Fly from here to the UK is like 200 bucks sometimes round trip, wonder how much is the shiping from the UK to USA.

UM

you 09-23-06 07:29 PM

does it cost the same though, or do they factor in the cost of those campy bits and what-not?

humancongereel 09-23-06 07:44 PM

much better components...i'm assuming the frame is also better. well, aluminum. hmmm. depends on your point of view, i guess.

eyefloater 09-23-06 08:02 PM

Looks awesome except for the unknown bit w/ the track ends.

It's more expensive than the Concept is over here.

pitboss 09-23-06 09:54 PM

the Mavic ELLIPSE are a real deal breaker...ugh

I dig the new ConceptUS - looks decent.

rustang 09-23-06 10:00 PM

absolutely hate the UK style fork. big bulky forks just bug me for some reason.

Ceya 09-23-06 10:03 PM

They also have another model that is made of steel and uses Long Shen fork crown (Reminton style) only seen in Japan.

S/F,
CEYA!

they work fine on the track. probably aren't as marketable in American Apparel ads though...

DoshKel 09-23-06 10:26 PM

Haha.

I like the look of the Concept in the US better. Dunno about performance comparison though... never ridden the Italian version.

The pure sprint track frame they have that is made in Italy is super awesome though.

rustang 09-23-06 10:30 PM

i just dont really care for tech looking ****, no matter how well it works. if there is a more astheticaly classic counterpart, i'd generally rather go for that.

Bianchi USA has little to do with the european Bianchi. They both have their own line of bikes, targeted at the local market. Even within Europe there are differences what you can order from your local Bianchi distributor.

For the first time we get the Steel pista in the line up overhere, so I'm looking forward to actually see that one in person on the next tradeshow.

D2 pista is, from the top of my head, around 1550 euro. I looked at the new 2007 catalog yesterday at work. They for sure have a better lineup for the mountainbikes. Not sure how the pista's going to do though, sells around the 700 euro price market.

Learn_not2burn 09-24-06 08:48 AM

If the D2 had inserts (I still don't know whether or not it does), it is much much better than the concept over here. The fork is the oval concepts one, it's hella nice.

popluhv 09-24-06 09:30 AM

Never seen a Sram track crank before.

just a Truvativ Omnium crank, but SRAM is the parent company. They have really done a lot with their products and the industry as a whole in the past years. Nice to see some local bike company success!

wow! spare no expense on the brake hoods!!

abeyance 09-24-06 11:01 PM

or the levers for that matter. But I think they are going for a "classic" look. Plus I hear it is easier to carry bread with non-aero levers.

trons 09-25-06 01:25 AM

oh man, that is hilarious
