Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bamboo frame and wooden rims too folks... though I wonder how those brakes work with short-pull levers like that.

Supposedly Calfee Bamboo frames are the real deal. Bamboo tubes, carbon joints. Though bamboo is incredibly stiff and works well on a bike, it has a shelf life of ~5 years. So... if you want a really, really sick looking frame that costs A LOT, but only lasts around five years, talk to Calfee. He, himself, rides one I've heard.
