Rivet damage on Brooks

http://velospace.org/files/rivet2.JPG

Thats a picture of my new Brooks Team Pro. I've put about 20 miles on it, and it looks like the rivet on the left is actually sliding down. You can see where it was when I purchased it and where it is now.

So far, I've put the Brooks proof goo on it and polished it off. Thats it. I havent tensioned it since I bought it.

So do I have a problem, or is this normal?

I wouldn't worry about it, it's cosmetic in my opinion.

the leather is stretching, which is normal.

Thats good. I got worried there was something wrong with the tension. This is by far the best seat I've ever had.

Pro's are sweet, I almost perfer it to my swift. Mine hasn't broken in though in around 10 months of cycling. I belive they have thicker leather then some of the others.

Don't mess with the tension! Playing around with the tension can ruin a Brooks! There's a rumour that Brooks no longer includes a special wrench with each new saddle, in order to stop would-be tweakers buggering-up perfectly good saddles. Yours hasn't been tweaked by any chance, has it… ?

PS: I just took a look at you original pics and it looks like normal breaking in. Here is a pic of one of my Brooks saddles (just over a year old); you'll see it has similar wrinkles (it has never been wrenched):

Phew.

No, my brooks didn't come with the wrench, and no I also didn't try to tighten it.

I freaking love this saddle to much to mess with it.

it's trying to crawl back to the corpse it was ripped from. your saddle wants brains.
