Sexy Curves [a Philly pothole story]

so my girlfriend's brother hit a pothole in philly. here is the result.

i don't know what kind of "pothole" did this, but i laughed. hard.
the frame is fine, i'm rebuilding it as a single speed for him.
the only weird thing was its a JIS headset, so the fork is a little tricky to look for.
but i've tracked one down.

there's some huge holes low on walnut street right now that could probably do that. or some of the unpaved roads in south philly. maybe he tabletopped off a ramp over a pothole and landed in another one.

Holy ****, that is a serious negative rake. Is the wheel busted too, or did the fork take all of it? And the frame?

frame is fine. broke one spoke on the wheel. (it was an old steel wheel, and he wanted to convert the bike to ss, so its getting a new 700c wheelset with the new 700c fork)

Is the headtube ovalized? I'd look very closely at the frame, just cause it's not as dramatic as that fork, doesn't mean nothing is effed. I'd also take a step back and look at the frame, cause sometimes being from a bit of a distanceis the best way.

looks like that pothole seriously enlarged the fork? i mean, it's now three times as tall as the bike. that's one scary pothole.
