i got some for playing polo from a bike shop in dc where most of the parts are donated. the bars were new and ran $11. I picked out a stem for $5. The joy of not hitting my knees on my drops is worth the $16 i payed.
Oh, and I got new grips that basically doubled the price of the bars. ha.

Does that mean he'll be pimping out small animals? Perhaps slapping them around when they don't pay.
If you can't find any in the next week, PM me, I'll go down to the shop and pick you up some, ship them out to you, and you can send me a check.

I just put on a pair of silver alu risers that i chopped from my bike shop, free with grips and stem; damn near died of joy when i rode my bike with those things on, so comfy and upright and i can do wheelies now. Too bad the clearence won't allow a bar spin, I think i might get a 650 just for that.

what's a good setup for someone who wants to try risers out without spending too much money? i like the looks of those Dimension risers that are $16. do you just buy a stem, get some grips, and chop em till you like them?

I am resurrecting this brief thread (no one can accuse me of posting w/o a decent search ha)
Been looking high and low for a pair of over sized 31.8, chrome/silver, 1.0 - 2.0 rise, little to no sweep.
The OP was right about the majority of available ones being black.
I Purchased a cheap pair from Origin8 but they had a sweep, Also grabbed a pair of (Sub)urban assaults, which I loved, but they were too narrow for my shoulders.
Any tips would be great. Thanks

They do look nice! Unfortunately they are not 31.8, and they are also cut short 48cm may look cool, but far to narrow for me.
Thanks though!

Went to this place they call an L.B.S? They confirmed that these are indeed hard to nab. Dude even told me of a customer who just bought black ones and sanded them down with oven cleaner in order to get the silver look.
I've decided to stay with the Origins...

Your cog is slipping.
Dimension risers come in silver with various amounts of rise and any bike shop worth their salt can order them for you for around 16 bucks.
