Nice 52cm Marinoni in Montreal:

If I didn't already fall in love with my slightly-too-large Marinoni frame, I'd get this in a heartbeat. Pretty good price and decent components.

winter bike

i was thinking about switching out the wheelset with my 27"s, and putting a freewheel on the flip flop. Maybe switching to a rear brake.

That bike would likely sell for $225 on Ebay. It would be nice if you could get a decent saddle, w/c would mean a modern post as well and some decent pedals for that price, but it's a fair price for what people are paying right now.

heh....i know whose that is, and my first thought was that he was flipping it, but after thinking for a moment, i remembered that he's like 6'8" or something, so it is too small...

if you wanted it as a winter bike, i'd just put knobbies on it.

I'm going to look at this tomorrow. Do you think it's worth €90 (~$125)?

That's not a lot of money. No idea what any of it said, but if there are no problems with it, then yes a bike is worth 125 bucks.

? I thought everyone here spoke Dutch :p

Thnx, that's what I was thinking too. Not a lot of cash and I'm really becoming impatient looking for a suitable frame in my size so if it's ridable it's coming home with me today! I need a project anyway.

not worth more than $100. LeTour's are heavy, but solid. Also a dime a dozen. Unless your a collector and this was made in chicago (not japan), it's not really that great of a steal.

marqueemoon 10-03-07 10:28 PM

It's baaaaaaack.

so.... i posted one of my bikes on ebay & some dude outbid another guy (normally this would be a good thing).... and then a few minutes later he retracted his bid because he said he couldn't get a loan. ughhh. this sucks. i hope the first dude doesn't back out now that he thought he "lost" the bid.

I would complain to eBay. His excuse is not valid. You have some rights as a seller when a bidder pulls that crap. http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.html

eBay allows you to sell to the item to the 2nd highest bidder, so you don't have to go behind their back in arranging the transaction. It's called a "2nd chance offer" or something; use it and eBay will send the appropriate email to that bidder.

BRANDUNE 10-04-07 10:14 PM

^^This is true, I have won a couple thing that way, it was like days later and I got a message letting me know that the seller had sent me a new offer
