Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Gorgeous bike.... $300 in San Fran area. I dig it, but it's a 53 cm and I don't have money. Otherwise I'd get it for the wife.

How good of a deal is this bike? I'm concerned the 27" wheels may be difficult to replace, but could I simply put 26" wheels on there? https://cgi.ebay.ca/Fuji-48cm-Single-...QQcmdZViewItem

550 for that frameset doesn't seem like a killer deal to me.

but a dented NJS frame would be?

it's a handmade frame (made of one of Columbus' top tubesets), fork, seatpost, NJS headset
it's certainly worth 2x the price of an IRO

that is if it fits and you don't mind the 650c's

I agree, it's definitely worth 2x the price of an IRO. I just don't think it's a "killer deal" at that price.

But that probably has something to do with how much I hate those track ends.

I think that $550 would be pretty ****ing awesome if would were short and already in the market for a custom frame.
