Ebay/Craigslist: Part III, Read the Rules

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That De Rosa reminds me an awful lot of one that was stolen in California two years ago. Someone should contact user TNCLR, just to be safe. I think it was his bike anyway. I can't remember.

That would be SO HOT if only it were about 8 or 9 cm bigger.

slightly off-topic, does anybody know if those wide-based campy singlestraps can be had on the internet still (bens has em, but not with the wide base)?

1998 Lemond Reno 53cm road bike

1998 Lemond Reno

If I get it, I wanna convert it to a fixed. Any foreseeable problems in doing this? And exactly what does "a LOT of TLC" mean? I mean, "wash, lube, and adjustments" doesn't sound like it's a big undertaking.

EDIT: I checked out bikepedia and the photo of a 98 LeMond Reno is different from the photo in the listing.

many bikes from around that time don't have horizontal drop-outs, so be mindful of that.

I'd be all about this if it was my size. Just look at the parts spec. Someone jump on it.

Another NOMCO frame. Looks nice and says it's hand-made in Santiago.
If I needed a new white or gold frame, I'd sure consider these nice lugged ones..
