How comfortable is the vetta racelite saddle

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the vetta racelite saddle. I am looking into getting a cheap saddle to try out and this looked interesting on nashbar.

i've had one for a month or so now and i like it. at first i hated it because i've been running around on a rocket v saddle and it is pretty cushy and springy. but once you get used to it, the vetta racelite isn't too bad in my opinion. for $20 it's a deal for a sexy looking white seat. make sure you get the angle and position just right or your man parts will hate you the minute you hop on.

i have never owned a higher end saddle than the rocket v, so my opinion is based on low end seats. i'm sure some people running brooks or turbo's will say it sucks and don't buy it.

edit: you are going for white oury's/vetta racelite combo huh? that's exactly what i did...i think this calls for a fight to the death in the thunderdome.

I have been riding them for a few years now. It is a great low cost saddle. I bit on the harder side but if your bike is set up right you should be fine.

I am looking to get white oury grips to go with it. To the death! Unfortunately I looked at nashbar again today and it looks like the saddle is gone now.

yeah, the nashbar site does that. i was going to order mine after i got off work one night and it was gone. the next day, it was back on there. just check back later. and i have heard to stay away from the perforated because it likes to eat up your pants/shorts. just what i read, i don't know first hand.

I hated it. Rode it for ~a month and it is a pure @ss hatchet IMO. Just didn't work for me. Got a NOS Concor Supercosa and have been way happier ever since.

So are we talking wearing out pants in a week or in three months? I usually wear cutoff BDUs so there would be an extra layer there. I really like how the perforated leather looks.
