bianchi pista headset problems

Don't know much about bianchi pista stock headset(grey paint frame-2003?). Headset was loose so I took it apart one of the rings coming from fork into the headset is broke, can I just replace this piece? Headset says LP for cane creek, don't know how these headset work, I am more fluent in Chris King. If anyone can help me out that would be great.

fluent in chris king but seemingly not in basic english or general headset part identification. puncuate and elaborate. what "ring from fork"? is it a plastic seal? is it the race?
