i'm not crazy about fat aluminum and integrated headsets, but my friend has one and says it rides a lot quicker and smoother than you would expect it to.

I'm not normally the debadging type, but that logo has GOT to go.
Nice platforms. The polished silver matches the brakeless risers quite nicely.

Holy God. Bikecult's selling these things for 675 complete? That better be a hell of a frame for that price, because the components look like absolute garbage.
Dude, buy a Steamroller.
Edit! Here's the link.

Part of me hates it and part of me loves it for no good reason.

Oh Hell Yes
I have one, it's great! It's heavy for an aluminum bike, which makes me think it will last. Handles well on the street, never taken it to the track. My bud Pablo has one too, he likes.
As for the logo, easily covered or modified:
Mothra
Mother
etc..

Did you buy the complete or just the frameset? I'm just asking because I'm curious what kind of bits and pieces they hang off of the complete. They neglect to say anything on the website.

If you want an aluminum frame that handles nimbly and is "fast,"* why not just get a Fuji Track?
*It's ridiculous to call a bike "fast."
