Cog and lockring
What are the best reasonably priced cog (want 17t) and and lockring that will fit a formula track hub?
Thanks!!! |
Rockwerks = same as surly, perfectly good, harris has them for $20. EAI are good as well, little more $$ though. Shimano Dura Ace lockrings are fine, so are the formula ones and the surly ones. Pretty much anything with a brand name on it is fine as far as this stuff goes.

Highly recommend Euro Asia Imports (EAI) with a Dura Ace Lockring from Ben's Cycle. Being cro-mo, the cog will last you forever, despite being expensive. And despite the name, they're made in USA.

I had a different experience with EAI; I felt like both
cogs I had wore out unusually fast. I did put several thousand miles on them, but the Dura-Ace I've used since then has seemed to be holding held up longer (and quieter, as well). Oh, and I've always used a Dura-Ace lockring. The same one for seven or eight years now, I think. |
