Collection of Single speeds, and more
So I was asked a while ago by some posters to show a few of the s/s bike I rode while living in India. I finally got around to looking through the 3500 some odd photos I have tofind them. I added a couple other pics just so people could laugh at me.
Enjoy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pyze-guy |

Here is one of the ss bikes I brought back from India... it is pretty much a standard ride over there. the "absolute" in painfully cheap parts, but I love them... I brought four different one back with me, and have since given two of them away. the other one I kept is orange, from a Hindu temple. I'll try and post a pic later of that one....
I also have pics of some amazing bicycle uses I'll find and post...I'd love to see some of your India pics pyze-guy. |
I met a guy in India who went every year, and was bringing a Hero roadster back, on piece at a time. He'd buy one, ride it for 3 weeks, take off the saddle, or bars, or whatever was next, and give the rest of the bike to a beggar. He hadn't quite figured how he was going to bring back the frame.....
Did you seriously ride an Indian made dual suspension bike though? I fixed one of those for a kid on the street (a rich kid) and it weighed more than my car! I'd totally have bought a roadster, but not, I think, one of those... |

A F/S SS? That thing is whacky in a cool way. Nice bar setup.

This is how I got mine back. I took it apart. I hacksawed the chainstays near the bottom bracket. When I got home I welded it back together. Put it back together.
My son demonstrates an aero position on my Hero Bicycle. Yes, that is an entire bicycle in a suitcase. Customs didn't say a thing. |
omg
I love those Hero bikes.
I think they are really classy looking and I love how instead of cabling it uses straight metal to pull the brakes. So old school. |
