What can you say? You PASSED me! Jeez....

"OMG where did you come from?" seems like the way a driver says i saw you and thought i would pass your slow ass but hten decided to stop infront of you and crash you, so really i don't give a **** what you're doing, or for your rights, or for your safety...but i'm just gonna say i didn't see you, ok?

I will be an evil MF'er if that happens to me.

Lower the shoulder and take off a side view mirror.

Sorry you were in Hackensack.. and nudged (the first being the scarier of the two).

Last time this happened to me I took off the sideview mirror of an off duty cop who veered into the space I was occupying to let his wife out at work. The time before that a taxi swerved into me to let out a fare.

The cop was nice enough and called the cops for me, but I was bleeding from my arm, and late for work and it took FOREVER because the guy had to have a half hour chat with the on-duty police officer that reported.

The taxi driver was such a jerk that he was about to leave the scene (in the process of driving away), but he reversed back because I yelled I was on the phone with the cops. He threatened me physically and verbally, offered to pay me money, told me about his family, made racist comments to myself and a passerby who offered to be a witness, lied through his teeth to me and the police officer, and claimed that I was lying and crashed into him purposely. He even blamed me for a dent in his car that was clearly impossible to have been caused by a person. He was a truly terrible and awful person in every sense. A scourge. I'm convinced he saw me and just didn't care about crashing into me. He said "You were going too fast!" Yeah right jerk. He even pantomimed me purposely crashing into the taxi for the cop. He did it twice before the cop demanded that he stop because he was making a fool out of himself.

Now when people pass me and start looking like they are going to pull into me, I just slap the window and start yelling. I should start wearing a ring for that extra cracking sound on impact.

I slap, scream, whistle, whatever it takes to get their attention. My daily ride 10 miles all along Myrtle Ave from Queens, thru Brooklyn, to Manhattan is filled with near misses like this daily. One day it's going to catch up with me for sure.

Well, Hackensack is where work is. The owners were planning on moving everyone to NYC in 2007 but changed their minds and resigned the lease here for another year or two but also decided to lease some office space in the city for meetings where the clients don't wanna come out to good ol' Hackensack.

Sometimes I'll ride out to Ridgefield Park and visit Cosmic Wheel or ride from work up to Van Saun Park and ride around there for a while. Depends on my mood.

Glad to hear your ok. I expect she could see you as she overtook then like most motorist who assume if your on a bike you must be going < 8mph so they think they are well past you and start to pull over. I had somthing like that today travelling along at about 18 - 20 mph in flow of the traffic a van starts to overtake me, (for no reason as I am going as fast as the taxi in frount of me) gets to the side of me then realises that he can't ovetake me because there is no room for him to get in frount of me because of course the taxi is there so he just pulls in to where I am riding causing me to have to sqeese through a gap too small for comfort at that speed. Narrow London roads with pr!cks sqashing you all the time gets on my t!ts some days (metaphorically speaking of course).
