Forte carbon Fork.....threadless stem suggestions?

My dad ordered one, and wont fit on his bike he is giving it to me, will one of these ruin my street cred? I'll take pics once its on. I'll have to buy a damn threadless stem... any ideas on something nice but under $60???? Its just way too bulky for my fancy but the fork looks nice and i love carbon fiber.

You can probably find a used thomson in that range. Or just get a ritchey, easton or something for half that.

i'm fairly certain that fork is made by kinesis... dutret suggested some good stems, but i'd also suggest looking at fsa and deda stuff too.

You can get a generic threadless stem for $20 at most bike shops. The only problem I see is getting one for a 1" steerer. Performance has new ones on sale for $19.99 http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=5235

Shims for 1" steerers are pretty common.
