this could be fun...
|
It's a good thing that smaller wheel is aero bladed. Wouldn't want unnecessary wind resistance.
|
Unicycle saddle? Boooo. Put a white perforated Selle on there and be awesome. Also, Deep-V's.
|
how the hell does it steer?
|
by leaning just like any other bike.
The saddle leads me to suspect the rider swings wildly back and forth. I would definetly ride one. |

Man, I'm thinking about this more and more... I wonder how hard it is to keep upright at low speeds? If you can trackstand on that thing, you deserve a medal.
|
i wonder if you wedge that big wheel so it's immobile if you can pedal yourself around in upright circles.
and then be a hamster for halloween. |
I was thinking it would be cool if there was a brake. Get up to speed, jam on the brakes and just roll head over heels at 30km/h!
|
I saw one of those (w/scooter engine) ridden on TV. They are hellaciously difficult to ride, esp to start with. When you start you swing back, when you stop you swing forward. So the uni saddle is probably a good idea. Also, it's a b!tch just to keep on a straight line.

I don't see a brake..
Skidding on that thing would be wild... especially since it has platforms! |

That seems all the more ridiculous because they have that esoteric sounding Verve song playing in the background

Wow, the ghostriding is very impressive. I'd have sworn it's impossible. It seems these things are not so unstable after all then.

Last summer when I was at a university course in Grenoble our favorite game when we were drunk or bored was to stand around in the parking lot and 'bowl' abandoned bike wheels to eachother at increasing distances. It was pretty fun but you'd always end up with punctures if you got too into it. Thats the only time I've actually attempted to true a wheel with a fork (it worked too). If you didn't keep truing the wheels they would roll really badly. Rear wheels kinda sucked too (didn't have a cassette remover!) A few of our rolls seemed like they would never stop and they didn't have an engine!
