Powdercoating in NYC or vicinity

Hello. Does anyone know of a place that does a good powdercoating for bikes in the NYC area? Also, is it possible to get just a small spot redone? I'm trying to replace my headtube decal with another one. Any websites/ prices would be really helpful. Thanks!

why don't u sand it, prime it and then spray paint it. took me like 1 hour. i don't think they'll do a spot either.

Powder cannot be done as a spot touch up. For a small area like the HT, I'd recommend masking the frame and spraying the area yourself.

Because I believe the bike she is talking about is a NOS 1986 Ciocc track frame. Why are you replacing decals? If you don't mind me asking.

if you stripped, sanded, primed, painted, and built a bike in an hour, you worked too fast anyways.

I had my frame and fork powdercoated at Carter in Brooklyn a few months ago. I had talked to one person who recommended them and one person who told me of mixed results with them. Count me in with the latter, all in all if I had to redo it I wouldn't go back there (and I might have to soon as the powdercoat has started chipping in many places...) although they were friendly and I had my frame back less than 24 hours after leaving it with them. I am yet to hear a definitive recommendation for a good powdercoater.

If your frame is nice please consider having it painted rather than powdercoated.

don't forget to clear coat a frame after getting it powdercoated. and this will take multiple coats with a high possiblitly of sanding.

I'm looking to get my new frame PCed - is it possible to do a two-tone scheme with it? I want the middle part of the seat tube a different color than the rest of it, didn't know if that was possible.
