wahoooo
now that spring is coming i can bring my fun-times steed back out..
http://www.hax.net/miscpics/bianchifix.jpg before today it had a campy veloce group on it. i built up a garage sale frame as a fixie, and much to my surprise, i was able to move the bits over i needed without much trouble. the only thing that needs some work on it are getting the chainline straightened out a little and finding a chainring that's 1 or 2 teeth smaller so i can get the rear fully into the dropout. it sure does look damn pretty though. |
I'm jealous!!!
Awful big ring..maybe you should use a 42 middle ring instead |
it is a big ring, 53t. i'm gonna throw a smaller ring on later, i just love the look of a fixed gear with a huge chainring. i'm not intending to really ride it as it is now, i just wanted to see if everything would fit and work together.

you know what would look cool? Red bar tape, and red tires like the vredesteins (sp?). That way, that red fork wouldn't look so out of place.
|
I'm with Phatman. Red tape and tires would look really good with the red fork and red saddle accents. Good-looking bike, but then I am partial to celeste Bianchis.

well, i'll look into it, but it's not high on my list. sorry fellas, but i need a new rear wheel :)
i'm gonna start track racing this summer, and i'm using that frame as my race bike. since i'm gonna need some way to adjust chain tension i'm gonna be building up a wheel with a white industries eccentric hub, which unfortunately isn't very cheap, but it's my only option. tires might come later in the season. who knows. i've never really been the type to buy something just because it matches. thanks for the compliments, by the way. i still find myself drooling whenever i look at that photo. |
