Paul's review on FGG

I've wanted those cranks ever since I saw them on Rebolledo's NAHBS track bike. Now I've got an excuse.

i have the same set up and have been riding it since june. initially i had a pair of loaner prototype paul cranks with the high polish chainring and arms. when they went into production i found out they weren't doing a high polished chainring and was super bummed cause i had to send the prototypes back to don walker and i really wanted the high polish chainring. i spoke with paul and he sent me a chainring before it was anodized that i then polished myself using a dremel tool. they look f'n great. they ride great too. the chainline isn't an issue due to also running paul hubs.

So I can switch them out with my cranks when you are not looking. Those are beautiful. Evan, I absolutely love them on your bike. It is pure amazing. |
one thing - you can't use standard bolts with these. at least i couldn't. the center circle is a touch too small to fit a socket wrench over the bolt. as such, ya gotta use the alley key bolts. not really a big deal, but it annoyed me when i was trying to put these on.
