If you cut the tubes open there are probably lots of prescription drugs stashed in there.

1947 hobbs of barbican blue riband path racer. tip-top of the top of the line. custom hand-filed lugset, accles and pollock kromo tubing. original paint and decals. sorry i don't have any pictures of it built up, but now it's built up with period correct stuff, of course. an absolute joy to ride. it's a little dirty in the pics, but i wanted to snap photos as soon as i opened the box.

GAH! Poutine!

OK, to get this thread back on track, here are a few of my favorites from velospace. Some track bikes, some conversions, none of them are mine.

I love this place because this British Bike thread is almost entirely about Canada sucking. And the Jason Lee thread is now taken over by skateboarding stuff. It really makes you have to open every thread! Each thread is its own grab bag prize of awesome.

what, that hobbs wasn't enough? fellow stablemates to the blue riband, early 60s jack hateley path racer:

and late 1960s hetchins path racer

the hateley has a unique feel to it because of that underslung titan track stem. it's got a different angle than most underslung stems i have ridden.
