Totally OT: Anyone seen "Bukowski"?
I was at ye local bookstore tonight (YBS) and saw that someone came out with an independent film titled Bukowski, about Charles Bukowksi, of course. Anyone seen it? Is it worth the $26.99 to buy it? He's pretty much been my inspiration in life since Jr. High. I can't find the film to rent anywhere around here so I'm hoping for some good recommendations before I go and buy it.

Just last night I watched "Bukowski: Born Into This," a documentary about Bukowski. I presume that's the one you mention. (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0342150/) We rented it through Netflix. If I were you, I'd try to find it cheaper somewhere or ask your local video store to get it as a rental. Interesting movie, but I wouldn't pay that much for it.

Meh. Every bio I've ever read on him makes it pretty apparent that 85% of what he wrote after he started making money was a total fabrication. I've read just about everything he's written, but I've since grown out of it. I've had my share of wh0res and alcoholic years. I got bored.

If you are totally crazy about bukowski, have all his books, etc. then you'd probably feel justified in buying it.
