Raleigh Fixiesejestions

Sup everyone.
I have an option to buy a Raleigh USA Grand Prix converted to fixed gear. The paint is a bit chipped up, but it's not bad. No rust. The front hub is a SunTour LePree hub from the 80s. The rear is an Italian made Omas hub (campy cog threading) with Phil Wood lockring, IIRC the cog is a Campy 16t cog,

If I bought this bike it would be my first fixed gear, it has a decent price, going for 250. Any opinions on weather or not I should grab it? I’m afraid I am a bit ignorant about this frame and am worried that if I did buy the bike that it might cr#p out on me.

I would buy it if:

The rims are something decent
The wheels were laced by someone who knew WTF they were doing
The tires are good to go
The saddle doesn't suck
The pedals are not the old crap, or at least have been rebuilt

Basically saying $250 would be the most I would pay for a conversion unless the wheels were brand new or the frame was something sexy. Otherwise, it would need to be a bunch of good parts and done well. Also, what era is the bike? Mid 80's? Any tubing stickers?

basicaly every thing looks ok. this is what the guy told me

The BB is the one that came with the frame, so it is probably a Suntour, but truthfully, I've never had it apart. It uses some lockrings that I don't have the tool for. It spins nice and smoothly with no slop. It has the original Raleigh square taper cranks (probalby rebranded SRs) that I spent some time polishing... probably could use a touch up. IIRC the cog is a Campy 16t cog, but I could be wrong. I'll go check when I get a minute. The front wheel is an Araya bronze ano on a Suntour LePree hub I bought when I ruined the bearings on the original one back in the mid 80s soon after I originally bought the bike.
The front hub is a SunTour LePree hub from the 80s. The rear is an Italian made Omas hub (campy cog threading) with Phil Wood lockring, but not a flip flop. It is laced half-radial.

i do have to say im let down about not haveing a flip flop hub, thats pritty important were i live. but other than that it looks good. , i will need to replace the handle bars though. but not a big deal i can take care of that.
