Mystery holes
This "Ex Mario Cippolini Time Trial Cannondale frame" was recently posted on FGG.
What's the deal with the holes drilled into the side of the seat tube? (as easily seen in this picture)

It's a time trial frame, so it's made for road, not track. Hence, the road geometry.

I understand the TT aspect and why the holes are there, but what I don't get is the lack of derailleur hanger in the rear. And the dropouts/trackends don't appear to be replaceable.

It's something you could do, but on that bike? I'm not so sure it would designed for a low-end form of derailleur attachment.

And it's hard to tell, but that brake bridge doesn't appear to be drilled.

It's probably a road frame that they just welded track ends onto rather than designing a whole new fixed specific frame without the unnecessaries.

He may have taken a saw to it to make it look like a track bike. The brake bridge is a mystery though.

They just used a seat tube that already had the derailleur holes in it. That's why it does not go along with the track ends.
