Thanks for the heads up, Brent. I don't know why I assumed the White Industries cranks were ISO, but they recommend a 113 axle length for their cranks (maybe not for the double, however). Guess I should give 'em a ring before I order anything.

I'm going to convert my Devinci tourer to front disc, and replace most/ all of its drivetrain. [Edit: Will also try lacing up the b17 on this bike!] Should be fun. Oh yes, and riding it will be ok too.

heh... no. i can't race or do group rides for maybe 1-3 years (time it'll take my eyes to heal), so this is for fast, long, lonely hilly rides.

I finished a geared roadie build but haven't put any miles on it, that's #1 before any purchasing happens. Maybe a replacement wheelset for the Paddy Wagon -- I hear all the cool kids are running a tri-spoke front wheel these days....

Carbon/titanium winter bike using an old MTB frame and 28'' wheels. Wheels will be fun but I am not telling.

Rob Roy commuter rig: IRO build kit, currently weighing options for rims (strong touring rim, probably)

Clean up and convert beater ('91 Stumpjumper) to SS.

Fixed/Track: KHS Aero Track (silver). The "marqueemoon speciale" Gonna do something ridiculous and SF to it, I think. Moscow TTT bars, aero wheels, etc.

Road: Bridgestone 300 reimagined as a Brevet/Randonneur bike w/racks and fenders, etc. A real BOB-bike for long distance tours.

Vintage: Rebuild the Batavus Champion to original specs as a lightweight racer.

Top secret project: "Double Trouble"-Team America Edition...you'll have to water-board me for details. I'm not going to jinx it with idle chatter and unfounded rumours!

Late this year, I'll swap components off the KHS and build a ultralight carbon/alu for racing only. No plans to be a super-trackie anymore, but I promised myself to finish at least one season of the Master's series Cat 4.

Custom: Still waiting on my Kemper-Pedersen. Should be done by this time next year.

Why thank you. The build is gonna be various incarnations of Campy Record, including Super, Nuovo, and C.

Visitor -- that's just illin'. Goddamn.

I too see gears in my future -- though whether it'll be from a roadie or an xc is to be decided.

I just bought a fork to resurrect my KHS. I'm super excited to finally get it rollin'. I miss it immensely.

I want to go down to the New Brunswick bike coop and undonate my Raleigh Grand Prix. I want to build it up with super-fat tires, full-fenders, and Nitto promenade bars. It will be one classy "gentleman's" bike.

I have a 57cm early 90's De Bernardi that I'm not sure what to do with... It's made of Columbus Brain that's been chromed(!) So I feel like I should send it out to my friend in Ohio to give it a fresh paint job that incorporates the chrome. I'm thinking either 14 or 16 speed vintage group on there. I have a near complete Shimano 600 gruppo, but it doesn't feel right on that bike. Time will tell...

Then I just have to mount a new cylinder head on my Rabbit, and I'll be cruising in total style!

The Major:
-White 1984ish Rossin road bike with as much campy record as i can afford. Got the frame, cranks/bb, headset awaiting payment. Tubular wheels are waiting for shoes. Rear derailleur will have to be CdA unless I get the hook up (yah right). Saddle: white perf supercorsa. Needs: levers (thinking - blasphemy - aero).

Other stuff
-Put together the wife's ss xc bike - Specialized rockhopper (ritchey nitanium tubes), Psylo fork, New LX outboard bearing cranks, Cane creek S8 headset, hub servicing

-Mayyybe a new front end for the Samson - thinking nitto technomic w. ape hanger bars. No, not really. Probably a Nitto pearl, nitto bullhorns (remember those?). a Zen ring would be nice too.

-glue on tires for the gitane. swap out the headset.

-maybe a repaint for the Mariposa.

Nothing fixed this year. Waiting til 2008 when the Velodrome may actually be open.
2007 will be a Cross bike if anything. I'll probably just work on paying off some debt.

Grabbin' a Mark V frame to replace my conversion (currently the ugliest fixie in all 6 universes), spice up the drive train, and if that doesn't leave me content (which it probably won't), carbon the fork, crank and handlebars. Then do the conversion back up all the rest of the way DIY, with a suicide hub (got the rim, just gotta get the axle moving again), flipped/chopped bars, inner-tube grip-tape and these cyclecross tires I bought for the winter but still haven't been able to use.

Then a few replacement parts for my roadies and perhaps do something classy in a cruiser/chopper.

One of my choppers need some grinding/sanding/priming/paint.

Lowrider/ratbike built from my pile of scrap tubes.
didn't get to these two projects yet

Schwinn World conversion, have almost everything ready, need to put a different bb in and build it up.
built it today, much better frame than my $2 bianchi which was flexing WAYYYY too much (I straightened it myself), nice stiff, little heavy, but I don't care.

I am working on plans for a single wheel trailer (like a Bob), probably will start construction/fabrication this week.

67 Stingray project, paint and seat are hosed, thinking springer fork and crushed velvet seat with tall sissy bar.

Also have a pretty cool Chaparelle frame and fork that may get converted/fixed up.
4 days into the year and 2/7 of my projects are done... hopefully have one more done tomorrow.

I need a new beater, the rust and the taking me 2 hours to true the horrible hops out of the rear wheel need to end.

new beater I see.

55cm ish brass knuckle, probably anodized flat black maybe white.
cheap black seatpost
cheap redline or truvativ stem
flite saddle
cheap risers
75 cranks
and ill lace up some odd wheels. think 20h something up front 1x and a bolt disc front in the rear 2x. all black probably laced to aeroheads.
