Yeah, I keep one with a flip-top in my jersey pocket on long rides. Goo packets are too expensive + honey has a low glycemic index, so no sugar crash. Fig Newtons (or Newmans), too, but sometimes I can't stand chewing while riding.

Yep, but you only have to try the nasty ones once. To save you all some work...*

nasty:

lemon poppy seed (duh. who the hell thought this was a good idea?)
carrot cake
apricot
banana nut bread
cookies n' cream
pumpkin pie
cool mint chocolate (ugh)

awesome:

chocolate chip peanut crunch
crunchy peanut butter
chocolate almond fudge
chocolate brownie

just ok:

oatmeal raisin walnut
black cherry almond
peanut toffee buzz

*my girlfriend disagrees with some of my choices, but she's the one who generally buys these.

The marshmallow Peeps are good for an energy boost. Each Peep chick has 32 calories and 0 grams fat, and are easy to eat while riding.

plan ahead: keep one of these in your pocket and they'll keep you going for a bit.

or if you *have* to i'd vote for o'henry, cuz they're bigger than snickers and have "peanuts" for "protien"... (not to burst anyone's bubble, but the chocolate industry is pretty #@&%*$!)
