ohh god stop it, please, 27.0 how the hell does one fine a 27.0 black seatpost. i'm googling right now but if someone knows where is a good place to find a 27.0 or 26.8 seatpost without special order please let me know.
edit: never mine i see ritchey makes them |
Walk into a shop.
Ask "Do you have a black seatpost in 27.0?" Repeat as necessary. |
|
yea, ok, funny. i asked who made them, i know i can RIDE to the bike shop and ask.
|
The keirin ones are hard to find, the non-keirin ones are pretty common.
|
Kalloy makes some.

It's been put to good use :) I'll be in NYC for the 1st week in April, if you'd like to see it's new home, let me know!

I should be in Nippon by then but we will see.

i got a 27.0 nitto jag post in good shape from stratton/keirin culture. not that hard to come by.
|
as i've always been told, njs approved frames must use all round tubing, nothing aero/ovalized.

Yeah i guess its not true. I recently saw a Makino with a full rear triangle that was aero. NJS frame. Also, my fork is aero and many other are as well. (NJS frame) |
sasha has had a number of keirin frames that had aero tubing, and the 3rensho he owns has it also.

but yeah when i got my spicer i scoured the interwebz for sexy 26.8's. i had a kalloy laprade as ceya mentioned when i first got it (was running out of budget at the time), but it was klunky, ugly, had a poorly designed clamp, and was HEAVY AS ****! There's not much eye candy in the 26.8 category (ie miche supertype, easton carbon aero ****, etc.), but you can't go wrong with the Thomson. A 27.2 Elite should be about zero problem to get rid of... |
u should have gotton it. u would have looked hot 2 def
|
fair enough - i'm getting my info from yamaguchi in part, thats something he told me when i was out working with him. one of the reasons he wanted to get out of japan and over to the us.

I ride an Anchor labled Bridgestone Keirin bike, and I absolutely love it. One of the nicest rides I've ever owned. It takes a 27.0 seatpost, which are hard to find used. You can get new Nitto NJ-SP72 Jaguar seatposts for about $130.
