Argh! I'm trying to place a deposit but I'm being foiled at the account creation step. It keeps saying I must select a state from the drop down list when I put in my address, but I have... I emailed Tony about it last night but he hasn't gotten back to me. I'd hate to miss out because the web site is broken. Anybody else run into this?

other people had a similar problem

try looking back through this thread

i think it was solved by waiting for the account to be registered with iro

and the confirming email to arrive

not sure about this though

best to talk to someone who knows

and cares

what am i doing i already have a frame i bought only a year ago... what am i doing... im losing my mind!!! AHHHHHHH
I'm 5'9" and some change and I got the 53cm. I've ridden a 53cm Mark V and felt very comfortable on it. If anything, I'd suggest changing to the 53, but the 56 may fit you just fine.

i usually ride a 63cm, but i had to go with the 62cm. i'm not gonna complain about such a petty difference, i kind of wanted to tighter / smaller bike on this one too.

aye, at least the top tube is a solid 59cm, the worst of it might be getting a stem that's 10mm longer..

I'd bet that at least half of the buyers are roadies or mountain
bikers who want a cheap way into fixed gear riding. They're
the kind of people with enough spare parts laying around that
all they have to buy is the frame and possibly a rear wheel
and they're set.

Hey that's me! I was feverishly searchin' the 'net looking for conversion info or cheap frames to build up I came across IRO. With a lucky set of google keywords I found this thread. After reading the all 47 pages (at that time) of this thread to get the current specs and then waiting for the IRO site to come back up I was in.

#395
62 cm
1 1/8"
flat black.

Now I just have to figure out wether I want to use my existing mtn (25.4) or OS road (31.8) stems or get a new 26.0 stem (as there appear to be more bullhorn options for 26.0). I will most likely get my wheels and other parts I need from IRO to show support for sponsoring this...

Next i need to peruse all the brake threads here to figure out my setup (or maybe not...).

I be riding your mom hard in no time.

Actually I already did...I had made a cross post over there and yesterday I bumped it one final time and said there were between 250-350 frames ordered...is the number really over 400? Good for Tony...come on June.

i hope that with the success of this frame that tony doesn't decide to add it to the IRO framesets later on. I remember that the orange angus was a limted edition thing at first but ive seen it come in stock a couple times since then. It would be cool if this frame is a one time thing only.

I was going to order one but I had to resist. So I ordered some Deep Vs from Trinity Cycles instead.*

*There's no relevance here, I'm just excited about the new custom built wheels I just ordered.

I can't wait to forget this thing is coming, so I can quit being so antsy. My current bike projects seem so... inconsequental. I guess I should finish converting my friend's 10-speed into a SS cruiser...

i don't know this for a fact, but i wouldn't be surprised if tony left the page up for a few extra days since they were having server troubles over the weekend.

I'm 5'10" and some change and I ride a 58cm road bike and a 56cm Mark V. I'm upgrading the mark V to a 56cm BFSSFG IRO. To me the 56 feels a tad bit small but I'd rather go with something a little smaller than something too big. Ideally I'd be on something enbetween a 56 and a 59. If you're 5'9"-5'10" the 56 is probably good. I can't imagine riding a 53...

Keep in mind that the road frame was capped at ~100 frames, and the entry price was a fair amount more. Ok, they're both still rediculous deals. Got my carbon frame from that yesterday and can't wait to get this one.

I'm 5'10" but most of that is legs, so both my bikes (road and BFIro now) are 53cm frames with 54cm top tubes. I could make a 56 work, but a 59 would be ridiculous.
