Good shops to visit in Cleveland?
I'm in Cleveland visiting some (non-biking) friends and was wondering if any of the locals on from this board had shop recommendations that I should check out before I head home? Fixed friendly and vintage inclined shops are obviously favored.
Thanks!

See Brent, Kevin or Derrick at Century Cycles down in Peninsula - all of em ride fixies and are darn good wrenches. They also got a store up in Rocky River that caters to a lot of the RR/Lakewood 'hipsters'.

You should try to stop by wheel and wrench in cuyahoga falls. ohio. They have some single speed bikes and they are bob and jim. They are good mechanics also. Have a good night.

Nothing to add on the shop part, but I say if you're in town long enough, go spend a day at the museum of art. Still my favorite fine art museum I've ever been to (and this includes the MCA in Chi and the MET in NYC).

Oh, and if you want to talk Sevens with some knowledgeable people, HubBub in Chesterland (about 35 minutes outside of downtown on the east side) is a pretty awesome place.
Although be forewarned: there's very little else in Chesterland worth visiting (FDave can verify this).

Cleveland gets trashed on harder than any other city in the country. I love that.

Well we will be moving to Cleveland this spring and I plan to make the most of it. Having lived in a dozen cities now I have learned that they all suck in there own ways. The grass is not greener anywhere. It's the same no matter where you go. The biking may be great but you can't afford to live or the cost of living is cheap but the weather stinks. My point is that you have to make the best of where ever it is that you are at at the moment.
