freehub to fixed conversion?

if i were to disassemble my freehub body (shimano) as per the directions on park tools website, and rebuilt it with JB weld instead of grease, would it be safe to run as fixed

i really like my wheels and they dont make them fixed, thats the only reason i ask

If you are willing to spend money there is the surly fixxer which replaces the freehub body and solves your problem perfectly... plus you won't have to buy a new one to switch back.oops link

thats pretty cool...thanks
but im running a 16t and a 18t on my freehub
i dont think that can be done with the fixxer
and with a freehub...i have perfect chainline no matter what crank/bb i use

indeed.
If you use brakes and the worst case scenario is you chip some paint, break a couple of spokes, and end up having to buy a new freehub body.

guess ill just have to try the fixxer

You could try this method

If you wanted to go back it would mean a new axel and free hub body.

Fixxer works fine and it easy to use. I ran one for 6 months until the bike was stolen. I used it for the same reason, I already had a excellent wheel and hub setup. In theory JB Weld should work to lock the freehub. I believe Sheldon Brown mentions a friend of his doing it. Running 2 cogs can be done fixed with the surly dingle. I'm sure it would fit the fixxer.
