this is the recipe that was posted in a thread a while ago:

Robbie's Jack Daniels Black Bottom Pecan Pie

Ingredients
One 9-inch Piecrust
3 ounces bittersweet or dark chocolate
5 teaspoons heavy cream
1 cup pecan halves
9 tablespoons unsalted butter
1.5 cups honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 ounces Jack Daniels black label whiskey
5 eggs
Jack Daniels whip cream

Preheat oven to 350 F. Melt Chocolate in a double boiler and whisk in cream.

Pour the chocolate over the bottom of the chilled piecrust and spread with a soft spatula to form an even layer. Cover the still melted chocolate in pecan halves, embedding them in the chocolate. Place to piecrust in the freezer for 5 minutes to set the chocolate.

Melt the butter and add to a large mixing bole. Add honey, vanilla, and Jack Daniels, whisk together until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking until smooth.

Remove piecrust from freezer. Pour in filling. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, then reduce to 300 F and bake for another 20. Remove and chill before serving with a generous amount of Jack Daniels whip cream.

Pie Crust

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups flower (spelt is best)
1/4 teaspoons salt
9 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 to 5 tablespoons cold water

In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add butter and incorporate with your fingers until the mixture is like a coarse cornmeal. Use a fork to incorporate water one tablespoon at a time until the dough forms a ball.

Chill for 1 hour.

Roll out dough on a floured surface until it is roughly 1/8 inch thick. Fit to pie pan and trim.

Robbie's Jack Daniels Whip Cream

Ingredients
1 pint (or the remainder after making a pie) heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 to 4 ounces Jack Daniels

Chill Metal mixing bowl and wire whisk in freezer for 20 minutes.

Add cream, sugar, and vanilla to mixing bowl and whip until cream is set at desired consistency.

Fold in Jack Daniels to taste.

by the by, I'm working on a vegan version...

APOSTROPHE! APOSTROPHE!

I'm declaring shenanigans.

That sounds gooooooood, though. I want pecan pie like crazy now.

But it'll just go straight to my thighs...
