When it comes to aesthetics, always always always post pics. :)

no chrome!!!!!
|
Chroming is very harmful to the environment with lots of nasty chemicals involved. Not sure if that affects your decision.

Well, here's my Peugeot Track frame after re-enamaling and full fork chrome, I know it's not the same, but chrome and baby blue go well together in my opinion, so I'd say go for it...

I'm all for environmental goodness but had this done a while ago and didn't know then. Sorry mother earth but I have ditched the car for a bike. Had my kenevans conversion chromed on the stays/fork/lugs and it looks pretty sweet. Just got it back from the shop and will post pics of the journey as soon as I get some bars. Just wondering FMTP where you were getting your decals from? I took some pics of my mates ken track and was going to redraw.

Chrome usually looks amazing, but I just wanted to highlight another consideration.

That's like my favorite girl bike ever. I want to see a girl on it blowing past me in the summertime.

You can easily have trivalent chrome applied which will have all the same aesthetics and functionality, with none of the environmental badness! Most shops can do it now a days, and the price isn't significantly different. *The more you know* http://www.metalfinishing.com/editor...7_Bjerklie.htm |
Go Erin Brockovich.

Best bike ever!!! Hands down!! By the way, what fenders are they? Do you reckon 27x1 1/4 rims/tyres would fit? I'm guessing you're running 622/28? What basket is that? How is it clipped to the bars? Does it shake around without a rear or back support? Would it shake around if one were to be transporting, say, 8lbs of dog and a little cushion? I'm havin' a heck of a time finding good fenders and baskets in Australia..... And these are perhaps the best I've ever seen! |
Thanks for all the input...my bike is on velospace under "madre del gios" still unsure about the chrome...that retro is hot...and seems to have taken over my thread..."usurper"....the decals hopefully will be coming from "Michael Swantak of velographicdesigns" search his name here or google it for the correct web address...please send a pic of your ken to Chabah_jr@hotmail.com...
