i understand that there are different types of paint... can someone show me what POWDER coated looks like? and there's another one but i don't remember what it's called.. thanks~!

powder coat doesnt look that much different. Its just hardcore durable. It wont come off or scratch. Google it.

isn't there another type of paint though - how much would powder coating a stem cost

Where i come from in the states, powder coating something that small would be very cheap. In the bay area everything costs 2 times more. I lived there for 5 years and am moving back this summer. See ya there. :)

Yeah. I've heard that some of the steel SUL quill stems were made by Waterford too. Maybe I'll post something in C&V about it.

Cool. I'd love to follow to know more about it. For what it's worth, it's an amazing stem. Big, beefy, really stiff. It's great.
