barspins?
kind of a noob question here, but im curious to know what fork/frame people are running that have the ability to rotate the bars 360 degrees. Ive got a giant bowery with specialized forks (43mm i believe) and im unable to spin the bars completely due to the tire hitting the frame. Im assuming I would need something like a 37-40mm rake to get it to work, but ive only just started looking into it. Since I would be needing a threadless 1 1/8" fork that will work with an integrated headest im guessing this wont be an easy task.
Any ideas? thanks in advance |

im running a single speed fixed track bike, I figured id post here. Asking the bmx guys doesnt make a lot of sense

single speed fixed trac bike, eh? Get a stem with a positive degree slops and riser bars and there you go.
|
ive got the stem and risers sorted out, its the tire hitting the frame that is making it unable to go around. Im figuring its my forks as theyre 43mm which is more for road bikes. Im just wondering what people are running (fork dimensions mainly) that are able to get a 360 rotation

650C front wheel. Has to be carbon fibre or it won't work.
|
wow interesting, thats the first ive heard of changing the size of the wheel, but it makes sense

i hate to love that bike.
|
are frames out there where a 700c front wheel dont hit the downtube?
i practice most tricks during work and working with a 650 front sukz. |
straight fork or a fork rake that isn't massive like a peugot, you don't really need a smaller wheel.
|
get a road fork off an old road bike. some of those bikes from the 70s have forks with monstrous angles and miles of clearance.
|
trying to make it work with an integrated headset though, also has to be threadless 1 1/8" so its definitely limitting my options.

Usually when the bar spins, it's because I drank too much.
Why would you want to spin your bars? I guess could see it if you were a clown in a circus or something like that. |

And on a Rush, a decidedly 700c frame, no less. Bad form.
