Mighty Comp Chainring (w/ countersink on wrong side)

hey i was looking at the mighty comp chainring here.

apparently sugino made a batch that was countersunk on the wrong side, meaning that the writing and the machined side will be facing the wrong way when you install it. i was wondering if this will make a difference from a performance standpoint. cos if not thats a schweet deal.

I had one or two of them in my racing days and never noticed any troubles.

< edit > Funny, the site looks like they're selling new (modern) rings. The one I had was from around 1989. You'd think they'd have fired that guy by now...:-)

i used one for like 3 years
it worked great
looked a bit funny

harris cyclery sold them for about 1/2 as much as ben's when they had them...
guess they're gone now
they were 44T.. funny that sugino seems to have made the same mistake multiple times

Besides aesthetics I don't see how that could possibly matter.
