Modolo Brakes
I took my new Fuji track out today. First day in 6 weeks that the weather around here wasn't sub zero. Well my first ride proved to me I need brakes or I will be killed in traffic. Any suggestions? I was looking at a set of 1990,s Modolo Mach 3 levers and calipers.

How much do the Modolo's cost and why do you like them?
I ride with a front brake, which I rarely use but when I need it I need it.
Weight mattered to me more than braking efficiency or cost, and so I got a single-pivot super light brake from Cane Creek.
It doesn't do that great a job of stopping me, but neither will it throw me over the handlebars and, like I said, it weighs almost nothing.
I think I'll go look for a picture of the Modolo's.

Well, I was looking to go for an old school look. My bike is a left over 2002. Polished parts not black. I just thought the non-aero lever would look nice.

modolo brakes and levers from that period are great. The hoods may be discoloured now though, if you care about that kind of thing (my ex girlfriend did so i replaced the levers with crappy shimano ones... her loss). They made them in a ridiculous range of colours but the ones I have are just plain... They are probably aero style FYI. The hoods have a little hole in the top but I assume that is so they only ever had to manufacture one model of hood. If they are 1990s then they are almost certainly aero style.
