Hi, I'm Moe...
or as the ladies like to call me; hey you there, behind the bushes.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, I'd like to introduce my first project: Bridgestone Kabuki. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/IMG_0750.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/IMG_0749.jpg It's nice and light, and will soon be stripped down so that I can have fun putting it back together the way I want. White powdercoat and polish is the order of the day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Cheers:beer: |
go back to the vortex n00b.

 haha

Friends don't let their bikes drink Budweiser.
|
Geez I thinks you need another beer  I prefer wine (no I am not a snob). Anyways enjoy I am going through the same process myself here is my project bike. It is getting powder coated (silver) as we speak.

Exactly.
The look of the old frames, and the fun of ripping things down and building them back up. As too the vw/fixie comment... I cannot speak to that. and yes, I would like another beer... thank you. :D The great thing about budweiser, is you can drink a plentiful amount and still have the cognizance to turn a wrench or two. Something I've def. learned, probably from owning vw's :P |

As for the VW thing, we had a bikeforums/ vortex crossover thread a year or so ago. Suprising amount of VW enthusiasts on here. And just in case this thread hasn't been completely derailed by now :P My old MK3. RIP http://farm1.static.flickr.com/12/93...61da928bae.jpg |

Although you'd have to wait until june to get it, and you better like the colors offered. Also, I Own 2 VWs; 98 jetta and 04 passat wagon. Sweet. |

I was referring to the IRO Bfssfg frame that can be had for 150.00. It is a great deal, but there is a wait of a couple of months until you will get the frame from IRO. Last I heard they will be shipped in June. If you don't want one, or do not like the colors availabe to you (black, blue, green), then the Frame is not the kind of deal that would work out for you. All leading up to why people buy and convert old bikes instead of buying a new frame and building it up. |
