Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I checked around after Devolution's thread and found some well-deserved words for the NAHBS guy/framebuilder himself, Don Walker.

I ****ing hate Brooks saddles. Don built it up with what he wanted on it for the show.

Here's how it was meant to be built:

...and yeah, F the haters, Don is the best.

It is a trike, built for Alex (the guy on it) to compete in the paralympics.
Yes, there is a sport for this type of human-powered vehicle...

i remember talking to don about cornering on the trike. he said you get up outta the saddle and lean down to the side, almost beneath the top tube. **** would be intense.

Just in case people missed my previous post, I posted pictures from the 2007 show on the Dirt Rag site.

50+ bikes, 200+ pictures. All done in the studio, none of that show floor stuff. Some 20 hours of photography work, but it was well worth it.
