Frame sizing.
 

I'm thinking of getting an IRO frame just like thousands of others..( but you can't beat a good deal ) anyways..I'm trying to figure out the right size frame. I am 6 foot 2 inches..which is most likely considered kinda tall. The frame I am riding now is 56" but I want to make sure I'm buying the right size...anyone wanna help me out ?

i ride a 57cm and im about 5'11. i have quite a long torso (i think?), so i need a 57cm Top tube.

o used to ride 54cm top tubes way back in the day... thats also when i used to get lower back pains :/! i rode 54cm cause the standover height was perfect. the 57 S.O. height is bit taller but one foot always stays on the pedals or they dont come off at all (road) or im trackstanding/leaning up against a pole

is the 56cm frame that you already ride a road frame? because I have a 56cm frame that fits me perfectly and I'm 5'-9". all of the 6'+ people that I know ride probably 60cm or larger frames that I can't even begin to stand over.

i'm your size and i ride a 57cm, and i like it. not an iro, but still...there are a few iro size threads if you use the search. i'm not well enough acquainted with them to sum them up for you, though.

As an initial best guess, you most likely will need at least a 58cm, and possibly a 60-61cm in a road frame sizing. There is some variability due to differences in bodies from person to person.

make sure you get a frame that has the top tube long enough for you. I read on sheldon brown the top is more important than standover height. http://sheldonbrown.com/frame-sizing.html

top tube is more important than standover or seat tube. it is easier to raise the post than it is to fiddle with stem lengths and you change your effective geo by moving the saddle back and forth.

I guess it also depends on what sort of riding you'll do.
