i don't know too many 16-17 year olds who have to worry about paying rent, groceries, etc. when most of your income is disposable, dropping an entire paycheck on a HED3 isn't that big of a deal.

Old enough to work, old enough to start paying for your room and board, that's how my parents told it to me.

Even though I didn't pay for my room and board when I was 16 (or in college right now, even), I was always taught by my parents to save money and to spend wisely and live fairly thriftily. I don't think I could ever feel good about dropping an entire paycheck on an item until I'd amassed more than a few paychecks to have a good amount of money in my bank account.

lets see how legit this umezawa is.....ok, i bet i can guess what is on there!

3. way too short chopped risers

Walked out of my building this morning to find this locked to the fence:

This bike is sad and confused and, like a tranny hooker, can't decide what the hell it wants to be.

Though I think I like it in a perverted and confusing kind of way.

Other than the frame being way too small, I don't know what's wrong with that bike. It looks like a standard singlespeed to me.

I was trying to figure out what a majority of the parts would be used for so I can have a guess at what it wants to be but really all I can think of is some new age urban mtb.

personally if you dropped the seat and gave the tt a bit more of a slant down (think langster) I'd ride it everywhere.

Then why the "what's it want to be" comments, and the picture of the perfectly adequate and straight chainline?

I think I do. Every time I look at the pix, that thing grows on me. It's just strange enough to be charming. And the straight chainline and well spaced freehub show that thought and work were put into this bike by someone who knows what they're doing(probably a shop mechanic).
