Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The more you tighten your grip, BF, the more SSFG users will slip through your fingers

Seriously, though, you'd think the BF powers-that-be would be encouraging links to that other forum because its primary purpose is to provide a home for all the bad behavior that led to all those users from this forum getting banned.

I saw someone getting nostalgic for the "bad old days", I thought I'd hook 'em up... whateva

Of course, if anything, we know that outlawing something is a surefire way to up that thing's appeal. Especially to the type of demographic interested in SSFG. And the beat goes on

Steve

Yet another amazing point that the moderators will never understand... or choose not to hear.

Oh, and EivlEvo BTW I don't mind that my post was edited, and thanks very much for doing it so diplomatically. I will try to behave myself (I definitely don't want to be banned from the whole internet after all)

It's OK as eventually it will be a lovely beige coloured, vanilla flavored site where nobody comes any more because nothing is really allowed to happen. You can't control a community, it creates itself, regardless of where. Congrats on removing a good portion of what made this forum what is was. I wonder which organ they figuratively removed. It's like tossing a cross section of your city's pop out.
