The same people bidding on this on ebay: https://cgi.ebay.com/street-cred-trac...3A1%7C294%3A50

I have too much street-cred and need to make a little extra cash. This is a great opportunity for anyone just starting out in the messenger world that doesn't really know how to fit in, or what city is the most hard-core. You will be able to tell people that we are bros, that you are down with real-life bike messengers, that you have totally partied with us, and be able to boast wild stories of how gnarly a ride was. I will even include spoke-cards and descriptions of races so that you can tell wild stories about being there, broken toe straps, well worn raceing shirt, waterproof socks friend invite on myspace and a broken frame(raleigh team frame that has been mashed way to hard) This will undoubtedly help you build even more street cred! Happy bidding and let me know if you have any questions about my cred

I found this piece of **** at the ROosevelt Station on the CTA Orange Line. Its a 1970's ALl-Pro 10 speed(K-Mart). I thought this was a coaster wheel at first, but spun the crank and the wheel spun backwards. NO brakes, and DUi bars yuck. And Banana Seat. Platform Pedals

that bike doesn't strike me as jackass so much as it just seems like a total junker with an apathetic owner. banana seat? it's locked at a public transit hub, right? the bike probably breaks 5mph very infrequently, if ever. was it 'fixed' for no reason other than its tawdry, corroded components freezing/breaking?

Its probably just a bunch of his friends bidding. Not to say there aren't idiots out there that would bid on it. I once put my leftover dinner on ebay and the bidding went over $1,000,000 until ebay took the auction down

It was fixed, its been abandoned. It has been there since june, and the tires are flat now. I think its jackass because it has platform pedals, no brakes, a banana seat, and worst of all dui bars. No wonder she was abandoned. For the same price, they could flip the bars the way that they are supposed to be, and get a real seat. Thats why its jackass

i disagree on the seat. i saw a bike set up with a banana seat and it was bad ass. and there's a coaster brake on it. so he/she had some way of stopping.

The most incredible thing about this bike isn't the bars, banana seat, or platform peddles. The most amazing thing is that it is locked up with 2 locks...

and functionally speaking, that seat setup is ideal for someone running a coaster brake. I'd just change the bars and maybe some paint to de-uglify that thing and it could be fun

And if you can get it up to 88mph you can go back in time.
