It is, I think we have the highest proportion of jackass bikes per capita. Know whose it is? I live in fear it'll be someone I know.

I swear the post above wasn't here when I wrote that...

i swear i've seen that bike just like that on campus with a non machined front rim fall quarter. could be someone else though.

ever since fall this quarter i've been seeing alot more fixed gears on campus, although most don't seem to jackass... well at least the ones i see parked where i have classes

Not too tarcky, but read the guy's craigslist ad:

I'm the 2nd owner of this bike. It has gone through alot. I've used it for trick and urban use. There are scratches from locking up and of course falling. I want to give her a new home. If your looking for a bike to use as "track" use, this isn't for you. If you like keeping your bike clean or just to walk your bike around campus to look cool, this isn't for you. If you like doing tricks, this is for you (Someone that will also put her to good use). I love this bike but sadly we have to part. Asking $450 or best offer. I'm located in the East Bay. I will not deliver unless we are in the same county. I will also do meetups at the closest Bart station. And again, I will NOT part it out or accept any trades (If you email me about this, don't expect a reply). I would like to sell it as is. Here is a simple breakdown of the bike.

thats my boys bike. there is nothing poser or jackass about it. the bike has definitely been ridden hard and its definitely not suited for track.

its an awesome bike for tricks and urban riding.

I really like that pista.

but spinergy on a trick bike is a bad idea.

other than that looks completely fine to me.

Some okay parts to be had and from my experience there is a market for this type of "don't spend any $ except for new tires" conversion in the under $200 range. It's got alloy 27"s, a decent stem, new tires, decent cross levers, probably a hard to get French BB, those cool old school quick releases up front, if that seat post is 24mm it would fetch a few bucks on ebay, a new chain and probably a Stronglight headset. Yeah it doesn't look to good, but it's a parts goldmine for the price.

Who gives a sheeet about what the next owner does with the bike. If I sold my bike and they turn it into a carbon fiber tall bike, I don't give a damn. I got my money.

Also lol at the obey sticker.

if you say so. doesnt seem like much of a jackass move to try to get a lot of money when selling a bike. maybe we should post photos of overpriced NJS stuff and all say "lolz" if we think profit is stupid.

i agree sentimental value is a silly concept. but not really a jackass move. just kinda seems like we are trying too hard.
