Did you learn that in psych class? Maybe you should keep studying because I'm pretty sure I was laughing at the blatant contradiction you made in your post. Wouldn't you say that it's "extreemly narrow minded perception" to say that we are all "elitist and subjective 30+ year old mid life crisis cyclists"?

Oh, and next time you speak for the entire cycling community, do us a favor and try to spell all the words correctly. thanks

He is riding HIS bike in an Alley Cat that was held in SF on Sunday, but it is not up your standards? Who gives a ****. I officially am going back into retirement from bike forums because of posts like this. https://www.sjfixed.org if you dare.

At first I thought we were all joking with the SJF posturing back and forth and it was awesome. Then it got kind of lame when I realized people were being sincere and not just pretending to be lame

CitifY was the person posted in the pic, but despite a bmc with risers (eh, whatever floats your boat) he seems the most chill.

ilnn and birdman are making sjfixed look like a terrible place though.

I didn't see what was so jackass about that BMC until SJfixed showed up with an excellent demonstration of tarck jackassery. Good job guys.

But I thought this thread was about bikes that are unrideable, don't work or are dangerous... not cockpit setups that offend one's delicate sensibilities. if a guy likes to ride risers on a road frame, uh, big freaking deal?

It's these kinds of pages that make me think this thread should be locked. Seriously.

Perhaps we have just run out of bikes to pick on and this is the idle chit chat that is filling the empty space.

If it gets too out of control don't worry... the thread will get locked down and cleaned up.

I rode a new IRO Mk V yesterday after tuning it up... and with nothing against it's happy owner I found the riser bars and Oury's made for a pretty whacked set up.

I don't get the appeal flat bar track bike thing but it seems that a great number of people find them to be perfect for what they do... and if they are riding that's a good thing.

Mind you... I'm an old dog and use a pretty traditional set up which is best for how I like to ride.

i sometimes run risers on my bike, i don't find them bad, it's just i like to switch back and forth, and i've prefer my chop and flop bars. I'll get proper bullhorns some other time, since i don't have a 26mm stem to run it with.

anyway, moar bieks!!!
