this is a joke right? lining up tire labels has nothing to do with looks.

Lighten up priest. Sure it helps you find punctures too, but mostly it just looks correct. i fix a flat about every four months but i look at my bike every day.

Lining up the tire label with the valve stem helps find punctures.
Putting your QR on the right helps find bike geeks.

I'm not going to lie, I line my QR up on my non-dr side because it matches my back wheel (on my roadie). But I thought he meant there was an actual functional reason to do that.

i put my qr on the right side because i'm right-handed and it's easier to spin the qr when i am taking off my front wheel to put it in my truck.

how? i see no difference running my label directly on the other side. if you get glass in your tire, you still have to figure out where the glass went thru.

This is my Specialized S-Works track bike. Each part was sources individually from various places, most new, some lightly used.
Frame and Fork is a 2005 S-Work Track Frameset with FSA carbon Headset. Campagnolo Pista Wheels with Vittoria Pista EVO CS Tubs. Campagnolo Record Pista Crankset and BB. Mike Burrows Carbon Seatpost with Flite Gel Saddle. Deda Pista Bars and Stem. DID Chain And finally the pedals are Capagnolo Record TBS Pedals. The last and finest clip and stap peddle that Campagnolo ever made, those alone cost me as much as the frame!
It's a joy to ride...

This is the same guy as above with the Specialized S-Works (as posted by Skanking Biker). Now he is showing off his 12 year old son's first track/fixed gear. I really don't have a problem with the bike itself. However, I do have a problem with throwing your 12 year old son on a brakeless bike. Ok, maybe the kid has some skill or maybe it is strictly track, but I doubt it. If it is on the street he should give his son a brake.

Apparently helping your kid "be hip" is more important than helping him stay alive.

"Son, if all of your friends decided to jump off a cliff . . . . ., I'd find you a bigger cliff off of which to jump and give you a push--that's how much I love you."

Whoa!-----am I missing something here? Are my eyes correctly seeing that he has two drivetrains running simultaneously? Any benefit to doing this? Does it give you more power?
