Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Good point about 7-11's motivation. I realize there's see rebadging, and that there were other examples of rebadging in years past... but most of the examples I've seen haven't been as farfetched as "Murray" and "Huffy."

yeah, I got a vibe from him all the way over the intertubes that he was. I saw some of the stuff he was involved with, and it made me laugh thinking about a company hiring him as some sort of street consultant.

Ill be in your neck of the woods starting summer 09 while my girl goes to "graad scchooolll" and I "mess" around. ha

aww, this guy just got his first glitter paint set. how cute, maybe he baked some cookies after getting his new paint job.

maybe i'm just hating, but it's hard not to when his handle is 'freakinrad' and you come across fabianesque shots like this in his photostream.

I'm kind of wondering about that, too. For whom were these bikes made? I would love to see a picture of the Huffy/7-11 track team.

Same dude in San Francisco:

Seems he actually won a bike race thing in SF:

And thru his flickr set there's pics of his & other peep's bikes, tracks from places he's visited, etc.

But seeing this made me cringe:

My comment had nothing to do with yours. I too don't understand why he posted the living room picture (though I wouldn't have decorated my place like that).
